Our group of four couples "taught" ourselves the associated class based on the principles in this Christian-based book; three couples for rescue and one for prevention. I am now teaching the class for the third time and, as word spreads, several dozen families have been helped in rescuing their rebellious teens and by learning prevention techniques and guiding principles used in raising their children. We recommend it highly.

I have a difficult 7-year-old son with ADHD. I didn't find this book to be very useful in managing him. It stresses rewards and punishments (such as time-out) which just don't work with my son. In fact, they make matters worse. If you are willing to take the time to read this book from cover to cover, you will learn how many factors contribute to the symptoms of ADHD, depression, anxiety etc. for all people not just children. The details of the biochemistry and neurotransmitter activity as well as treatment protocols answered many questions for me that other MD's and PhD's could not answer. Most importantly - yes, there are blood tests that indicate where the problem(s) lie, and yes, there are natural treatments to give the body what it needs to repair itself. ...
